The High Commissioner

I am delighted to welcome you to the website of the Cameroon High Commission in the Republic of South Africa. It is a portal not only to our diplomatic mission, but also to our beautiful bilingual, bicultural and indeed multicultural country.

Cameroon is often referred to as ” Africa in miniature” because it encompasses the ecological and ethnic diversity of the continent.

Cameroon and South Africa share much in common: the diversity of their peoples and geography, the particularities that shaped the history of both countries and the challenges of nation- building in a global context marked by destabilising and disruptive forces.

Nevertheless, both countries are laboratories for social reconciliation and for forging hope for ongoing continental integration and African renaissance.
